Even now, in an area so exploited and full of programs as is instant messaging, a new and revolutionary program can still appear that offers things unseen until now. This is the case with IMVU.
IMVU lets you communicate with people across the world, via 3D characters that each person creates and models as they like, as if they were the character from a game.
The conversations with IMVU take place in 3D settings and the dialogues appear on-screen in speech bubbles (like in comics). In addition to instant messaging, your character can do other things, like laugh, dance, etc as if you were moving them in a 3D videogame.
In summary, IMVU is a new idea that's highly original, and without doubt worth trying.
